Commissioned to address years of persistent vandalism and graffiti, this large-scale infrastructure project required a carefully considered creative approach that balanced visual impact with long-term asset protection. Rather than simply covering the wall, Gradient developed a curated design that incorporated authentic graffiti and street art influences, discouraging future tagging by earning respect within the graffiti community while remaining welcoming, appropriate and visually appealing to the surrounding residential neighbourhood. The completed artwork transformed a heavily targeted site into a respected community asset, demonstrating how thoughtful public art can reduce vandalism, strengthen local identity and contribute to safer, more engaging public environments.
